Seminar on Japanese Construction Technology in Thailand 2016

The Seminar on Japanese Construction Technology in Thailand 2016 was held at the Embassy of Japan in Thailand (multipurpose hall) for two days from September 14 through 15
This Seminar, Advanced Construction Technology Center got supported by Embassy of Japan in Thailand, MLIT, JICA for the purpose of introducing Japan’s Advanced construction technology to construction-related organizations in Thailand (administrative agencies, constructors and consultant) and to support its utilization overseas. There are three hundred and twenty four persons from a wide range of fields related to the construction industry in Thailand participated in two days.

Congratulatory addresses were delivered by Mr.Shiro Sadoshima Ambassador of Embassy of Japan in Thailand, the Deputy director general of Royal Irrigation Department (RID), the Director of water quality management office of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), the Chairman of the Thai Contractors Association, and the Chairman of Consulting Engineers Association of Thailand. Keynote speeches were given by the President of TEAM Company (the largest construction consultant in Thailand), the President of Ch-Karnchang Company, MLIT, and the Japanese Chamber of commerce (Construction Department). The Seminar was a significant opportunity for the Japanese side to introduce advanced construction technologies. High interest was expressed by the Thai side. Constructive questions were raised by participants from Thailand, and a lively exchange of opinions took place

Technical Name:Press-in Piling Method and Implant Foundations
Abstract:With the Press-in Method, piles are installed using static loading. Therefore, the method does not generate noise or vibration, and is completely environmental friendly. The foundations installed by the Press-in Method is called "Implant Foundations" as they are firmly embedded into the ground with static loading. Being embedded into the ground, the foundations are resilient and maintain serviceability even in extreme events.

Technical Name:Highly advanced chemical grouting – Multi Strainer Grout
Abstract:Rapid and reliable grouting technology is crucial to mitigate soft ground and to install cut-off property. Multi-Strainer Grouting, as an advanced TAM grouting technology, is characterized by special outer grout tube (multi-strainer). The multi-strainer supplies injection column which can permeate the grout more rapidly and in greater quantity compared with conventional TAM grout having small grout sources. Then this technology can drastically reduce grout holes and grouting program and make the project economic.
