Technologies Presented at the Seminar

The technologies presented in this seminar are as shown below (The order of presentation is subject to change).
The details of the seminar program will be published on this website as soon as they are finalized.

Technologies to be introduced:
1.Soil improvement 2.Flood control,Drainage 3.Maintenance
July 30(Wed.)

Lecturer: Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Expressway Company Limited

Technology: Bridge Inspection Support Tool Utilizing BIM and MR Technology

Content: A support tool that enhances bridge inspection efficiency by overlaying camera images from a tablet device with BIM models using MR technology.
The overlay adjusts automatically as the user moves, allowing them to select structural components on the screen and record detailed damage locations. The BIM models, which include maintenance information, integrate with captured images and inspection reports, reducing data entry effort.

Technologies to be introduced: 3.

Lecturer: Shutoko Technology Center

Technology: Smart Infrastructure Management System

Content: The Smart Infrastructure Management System (i-DREAMs ®) was developed to achieve efficient maintenance and management of infrastructure and to provide rapid assistance in the event of disasters such as large-scale earthquakes.
This system integrates various data into a GIS (Geographic Information System) platform to realize advanced and innovative maintenance management with a digital twin.

Technologies to be introduced: 3.

Lecturer: CHODAI CO.,LTD

Technology: Stay Cables Inspection Robot "VESPINAE"

Content: Advanced technology for the rapid, safe, and precise inspection of cables and image analysis, using a device with four propellers and video cameras.

Technologies to be introduced: 3.

Lecturer: TAIYO TORYO CO., LTD.

Technology: BufferCoat

Content: Rust prevention method and Waterproofing method of construction using 100% silicone coating materials

Technologies to be introduced: 3.

Lecturer: Taisei Corporation

Technology: Image Analysis for Concrete Crack t.WAVE

Content: This technology is a system that uses AI to automatically detect cracks from images and quantitatively evaluates crack width and length by wavelet transforming the crack images.
AI automatic crack detection technology
AI can automatically detect cracks from images taken with a drone or tripod.
Quantitative evaluation technology for crack width and length using wavelet transform Wavelet transform is an image analysis technology that is suitable for evaluating linear features in an image, and t.WAVE can calculate the width and length of a crack for each pixel in the image.

Technologies to be introduced: 3.

Lecturer: Eight-Japan Engineering Consultants Inc.

Technology: 360EDITOR inMap (Development of a Digital System for Structural Data Management and Mapping)

Content: "inMap" is a management system that links data folders for each structure on an electronic map. It simplifies the organization and management of the increasing amount of documentation.
"360EDITOR" is a document management and presentation system that allows the attachment of various data within 360-degree photos. It enables quick model creation with a reduced data file size.
By integrating the "360EDITOR Viewer" into "inMap," it becomes possible to view not only the structural data on the map but also the entire facility in 360 degrees, making it useful for interactive, street- view-like visualization and enhances comprehensive facility management.

Technologies to be introduced: 2.

July 31 (Thu.)

Lecturer: CHICHIBU CHEMICAL CO., LTD.

Technology: Plastic Rainwater Storage Structure
[ New Pla-kun and New Trench-kun ] etc.

Content: Our products are Plastic Rainwater Storage Structure (PRSS) for reduction of inundation damage and flood control.
New Pla-kun has great reservoir effect and New Trench-kun is trench type facility.

Technologies to be introduced: 2.

Lecturer: HINODE,Ltd

Technology: Ductile Iron Grating

Content: Ductile iron grating is thick cast shape with high strength and excellent durability.
Iron lid frame integrated structure prevents rattling and having twice the corrosion resistance of steel grating.
Prevents tire slip with surface protrusion structure and Easy road alignment, no steps on slopes

Technologies to be introduced: 2.

Lecturer: AsunaroAoki

Technology: Dredging method using radio remote controlled amphibious bulldozer Model D155W-1

Content: The Amphibious Bulldozer is a remote-controlled underwater construction machine capable of operating at depths of up to 7 meters.
We have a strong track record of dredging more than 1200 rivers, beaches and dams, where we have conducted harbor and river operations to prevent and alleviate disasters. Additionally, our remote-controlled operations have proven highly successful in many hazardous areas.
In collaboration with Komatsu, we are advancing the development of the auto-controlled electric underwater construction robot.
We are showcasing "Underwater construction of the future" at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

Technologies to be introduced: 2.

Lecturer: Nippon Koei Co., Ltd.

Technology: Flood Forecast and Comprehensive Disaster Assessment

Content: A case study using a Japanese-made X-band MP radar at the Pasak Jolasid Dam, managed by Thailand’s Royal Irrigation Department, for high-accuracy rainfall observation, applied to reservoir management.
In addition, we will introduce the efforts of public-private partnership in Japan for understanding the whole picture of damage situation at the time of disaster using satellite data.
Rapid assessment of the disaster situation is expected by early observation using multiple (domestic and international) satellites and establishment of one-stop system visualizing disaster information.

Technologies to be introduced: 2.

Lecturer: SANSHIN CORPORATION
SANSHIN CONSTRUCTION (THAILAND) CO., LTD.

Technology: Rapidjet Method

Content: Jet grouting method is a technique for ground improvement developed in Japan. High-pressure cement slurry and high-pressure air are injected into the ground, cutting the ground and mixing it with the ground. This creates high-quality columnar soil-cement material. As it can be carried out using small equipment, it is an essential method for infrastructure development in urban areas.
Rapidjet method is a jet grouting method optimized for Asian ground and equipment. This method can construct soil-cement columns with larger diameters at higher speeds than traditional techniques.

Technologies to be introduced: 1.

Lecturer: Eco Project Inc.

Technology: Eco-Friendly Solidifier "Doronko"

Content: Eco-frienldly inorganic solidifier "Doronko" is a soil improvement material that has no environmental load.
"Doronko" is widely available and used at various construction works such as agricultural fields that is required cares of surrounding environment or underground water and disaster areas.

Technologies to be introduced: 1.

Lecturer: ASHIMORI INDUSTRY Co.,LTD.
TOKUYAMA Mtec Corp.

Technology: LFR method

Content: The LFR method is a surface improvement method for soft ground. It was installed in 2022 to prevent the revetment from subsiding at Bang Saen Beach. It is also used for residential foundations in Japan. The technology developed in Japan, a country prone to earthquakes, can also be used in Thailand.
